Welder

Welder – ASME Pressure Vessel Manufacturing

Location: Pocatello, ID

Job Type: Full-time
Shifts: 8-hour shift, 40 hours per week
Pay: $26.00 per hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our ASME Pressure Vessel Manufacturing team at our Pocatello branch. This position offers excellent growth potential and advancement opportunities within our facility.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

  • Weld Test: Must be able to pass a 3G vertical up weld test using a GMAW process.
  • Experience (Preferred): Pulse MIG welding, TIG welding, grinding, layout, hand burning, and air arc back gouging.
  • Fit-up Experience: Prior experience working on round vessels is highly preferred.
  • Blueprint Reading: Helpful but not required.

Welding Test Details

All applicants must pass a practical welding test before hiring. Candidates who pass the test will start at $26.00/hr.

  • Test Type: 3G vertical up pulse MIG hard wire (.052 wire) on ½” plate.
  • Evaluation: 1 Visual inspection, followed by #2 X-ray inspection.
  • Candidate Equipment: You must bring your own welding gear (welding hood, welding gloves, and welding jacket/sleeves).
  • Provided Equipment: Safety glasses and earplugs will be supplied upon your arrival.
